This site is a tribute to Doreen Watkins. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

A beloved and loving Wife to Ken, Mum to Tracey and Karen, Mother-in-law to Michael and Grandma to Katie, Megan, Emily, Matthew and partner Natalie. Doreen lived with Alzheimer's Dementia for six years. Bravely "going with the flow" until a fall and broken hip accelerated her death on 22nd December 2020. Always looking on the bright side and retaining her sense of humour to the end, Doreen will be sadly mourned and missed. During her illness Doreen and I derived tremendous support, advice and help from our local branch of the Alzheimer's Society which helped significantly to ease our discomfort.

The current situation has resulted in some of the activities which sustained Doreen and I being curtailed. Any monies raised in Doreen's name will, we hope, be used to restore these in future to facilitate support for others in their time of need.
